Creating
I go through creative spells. One week I feel like I can't keep up with all my new ideas for things I should make and other weeks I can't think of a single thing. The past few days I feel like my mind has been on overdrive when it comes to creating. Last night I worked for several hours on finishing up some projects and then starting two new ones. I came home from work today and finished up one that I started last night. It feels good to finish some things. I am pleased with the items and that always feels good as an artist of any type.

New In fara.daisy.jean
I just put this cuff in my store today. I think it's my favorite so far. I used thicker leather than what I usually use-just a tad thicker- and used my new dyes to paint with instead of the acrylic leather paints I usually use when painting colors other than brown. I love how it turned out. almost like a water color painting. I love it so much that I wanted to keep it for myself but guess who doesn't really measure bracelets before she makes them(unless it's a custom order)? yep me. I just like to make them around my size(cause I assume my wrist is average size ????) in hopes that they will fit other ladies out there.
Anyways-it's awesome so please check it out. :)
I also made this little gem of a headband. Has the same flower design for the most part but has a tiny bit of a different paint job. Ties around the head with a tan suede cord.
It's for a special friend and she doesn't even know it's about to be shipped to her in a week or two. I love giving surprise gifts! Hope she likes it!
Needle Felting
I love trying new crafts and my latest is needle felting. Heard of it?
It's where you use a chunk of wool and poke it with a needle that has barbs on it to tangle the fibers together so you can sculpt it into shapes. It seems like most people use this technique to make dolls with.
I ordered some supplies online and tried it for myself. I made these little guys.
It is pretty fun and somewhat stress relieving. Poking something with a sharp object over and over apparently has that effect on me. ;)
I gave my friend's 5 year old daughter the blue doll on the right and she said she was going to name it baby Jesus. Cute..and kind of funny because even though it's light blue (blue= boy) it does have a pink flower in it's "hair".
